Thank you for choosing BeyondTheWeb. We are committed to ensuring that your order arrives safely, with the health and welfare of each tarantula as our top priority. This policy outlines our shipping practices, responsibilities, and limitations.
1. Shipping Methods
- We ship live tarantulas via trusted couriers depending on your location.
- Orders are dispatched Monday to Wednesday only to minimize risk of delays over weekends.
- Orders placed after Wednesday at 12:00 PM (UTC+4) will ship the following Monday.
- Tracking information will be provided once the shipment is dispatched.
2. Weather Conditions
Shipping live animals during extreme weather (hot or cold) can be dangerous. Therefore:
- We reserve the right to delay shipments based on current or forecasted weather conditions at the origin or destination.
- Customers will be informed of any weather-related delays.
- If a buyer insists on shipping despite weather warnings, any live arrival guarantee (LAG) is automatically voided.
3. Packaging Standards
Each specimen is packed with great care to ensure its safety during transit:
- Tarantulas are placed in secure deli cups or vials, with soft tissue or vermiculite for cushioning.
- Packages are lined with insulating materials to help regulate temperature.
- Heat or cold packs may be used when necessary and appropriate to the destination climate.
4. Shipping Zones
We currently ship only within the following zones: United Arab Emirates (AE Zone), Oman (OMN), Zayed (AUH), Sharjah (SAIF), Ajman (AE-AJ), Umm Al-Quwain (AE-UQ), and Abu Dhabi (AE-AZ). Buyers are responsible for understanding and complying with all local regulations regarding exotic animal ownership.
5. Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
A Live Arrival Guarantee is available under specific conditions. To qualify for LAG coverage, all of the following must be met:
- The buyer or a trusted receiver must be present to receive the parcel on the first delivery attempt.
- A clear, continuous unboxing video must be submitted within 1 hour of delivery. The video must:
- Begin with the sealed outer package
- Show the entire unpacking process
- Clearly document any issues or evidence of DOA (dead on arrival)
- The package must be opened indoors, in a temperature-safe environment.
LAG is void if:
- Delivery is missed, rescheduled, or delayed by the buyer
- The unboxing video is missing, edited, or unclear
- Incorrect delivery address or contact details were provided
- Shipping was forced despite weather warnings
6. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy
If all LAG conditions are met and a tarantula arrives DOA, we may offer:
- A free replacement of the same species (if available), or
- A refund, excluding original shipping costs
Refunds and replacements are issued at our discretion and only after verifying the unboxing video and delivery conditions.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
The following situations are not eligible for refund or replacement:
- LAG conditions are not fully met
- DOA is reported without video proof
- Animals are confiscated by customs or authorities
- Buyer no longer wants the animal after shipping
- Mishandling, stress, or improper care post-delivery
- Death due to extreme temperatures after unpacking
8. Buyer Responsibilities
By placing an order, you agree to the following:
- Provide accurate and complete shipping and contact information
- Be present and available for the first delivery attempt
- Record a clear unboxing video as required for LAG claims
- Know your local wildlife laws and restrictions
- Handle and house the animal responsibly upon arrival
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in loss of coverage or eligibility for replacement.
9. Important Buyer Responsibilities
- Ensure your address and contact number are correct.
- Be present for delivery or pickup.
- Understand your local laws regarding exotic animal ownership.
- Do not expose the tarantula to high or low temperatures immediately after unpacking.
